Amidst complaints that his company is overhiring salespersons, real estate broker Anthony Gerard Leuterio maintains that they follow the law.

Sun.Star Cebu reports that on June 13, a complaint was filed at the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office against certain individuals and Leuterio for hiring more than 20 sales agents for one real estate broker, in violation of Republic Act 9646 or the Real Estate Service Act (Resa) Law.

In a statement published in the Filipino Homes Facebook page, Leuterio stated that despite attacks some people have hurled against them, they continue to receive accolades which they could not have won had they been negligent of their duties to their clients, the real estate industry, and the government. The post went on to enumerate their accomplishments, including having the most number of offices in the Philippines, being the only realty firm with the most number of lawyer-members, and being the only realty firm that seriously advances the advocacy in real estate service through calling for adjustments in the Resa Law, to name a few. The post concluded that they will do what is expected of them under the law.
Leuterio is the owner of Leuterio Brokerage and Realty and the founder of Filipino Homes, a website for property listings in Cebu and the Philippines.
